Condobox - Winner of .CA Impact Award!

We are honoured and so excited to have received the.CA Impact Award for small business this year! Today, Joanna Kakkavas, the Founder and CEO of Condobox, received the award at the MESH conference in Toronto.

The .CA Impact Awards annually recognizes four organizations that use their .CA website to make a positive impact in their community. This year, over 800 applications for the award were received.

Bryon Holland, President and CEO of CIRA, said that: “[he] was very impressed with the calibre of entries we received for the Impact Awards. The four .CA Impact Award winners are truly inspirational.”

Condobox’s sustainable business model is what impressed the .CA judges. In 2011 the Openbox Foundation was officially launched. The OpenboxFoundation, with the support of the Condobox Network, benefits local communities to help furnish and create better living environments for those in need in our community.  

The Openbox Foundation works with CNH associated with United Way to identify families/individuals that could benefit from our foundation. Condobox then donates furniture, design time, and the cost of delivery and installation to those identified. We receive furniture donations from our clients who are replacing their old pieces with something new. In exchange for their furniture, they receive a store credit which they can apply to their new furniture. The Openbox Foundation is a wonderful way to make a difference and support our community.
